    How to remove this heatsink?

    Does anyone know how to remove this type of heatsink?

    you see where that big 'AVC' stamp is.. push down and on that and the whole thing will just 'unlock'

    Push down on the metal tabs and unhook it by moving the tab towards the fan

    Yup, as mentioned, and it'll prolly need quite a bit of force pressing it to remove it.

    It is exactly as has been said, Personally I would remove the motherboard from the case and lay it on a flat firm surface so you don't bend the board too much then use a screwdriver to apply downward force in the depression(just inline with them capacitors) on the retaining bar, Then you can just use the AVC marked lever to unhook it.
