Re: no boot screen or anything

If you can, you could try another monitor and then try a different graphics card. With no output symptoms its difficult to know what is at fault without swapping things around to eliminate a faulty component.

its not the monitor, i ask my cuz and he said maybe its the motherboard or cpu. he is asking me to look around. Because i tried reinstalling xp and fixing the firewire and ask him to fix it and the result is a blank screen when booting

Check the cable connection from VGA/DVI port to monitor. Try re-seating it.

Also, might want to take a quick gander inside to make sure the GFX card is slotted in firmly. Where possible, use on-board VGA to make sure the GFX isn't borked.
