OverDrive section not visible in Catalyst Control Center

Hello,

I've yet another issue with my newly bought PC. And it's exactly what the title says. The card is a Sapphire Radeon HD 4830. But the curious thing is, Overdrive was visible at some time, and later on it just disappeared. When it was visible, I unlocked it, tried changing the fan speed (only that), everything worked. The driver is 9.4, downloaded the whole package from AMD site.

So that you believe me:


Has anyone encountered this? And what could be the solution?

By the way, AMD Overdrive 3.0 doesn't report the GPU temperatures, whereas in CCC it was visible.

Is it now part of your AMD overdrive software rather than CCC?

Hmm, possible. I wonder, if I uninstall AMD Overdrive, maybe the section will pop up again Will try that.

in CCC click on 'view' -> 'edit custom view' and make sure overdrive is selected.

Thing is, I did that, and there was no Overdrive.

Though, I've uninstalled AMD overdrive, and the section is visible again, it worked

Are you sure it's on "advanced mode"?

You mean "Advanced view"? Yes. And it doesn't matter whether I change it to "Custom view" and edit custom view settings. The tickbox isn't there.

Ah well, I won't be overclocking at the moment anyway, maybe with Catalyst 9.5 (or 9.6, or 9.7, etc.) it'll be sorted out

I'm glad to report that the issue is fixed with Catalyst 9.5
