Well most graphics cards today have at least 2 monitor outputs but if you wanted more or if you wanted to do SLI/Crossfire to improve gaming performance you would need a motherboard that supports it.

Thank you all for your advice. Here is the computer I am now considering to build taking into consideration your helpful input. What do you all think now?

*Corsair 450W HX Series Modular PSU - 7 Year Warranty
*MSI HD 4650 512MB GDDR2 VGA DVI PCI-E Graphics Card
*1TB Samsung HD103UJ Spinpoint F1, SATA 3Gb/s, 7200rpm, 32MB Cache, 8.9 ms, NCQ
*Kingston 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 1066MHz/PC2-8500 HyperX Memory CL5 2.2V
*Gigabyte MA770-UD3, AMD 770, Sok AM3/AM2, PCI-E 2.0(x16), DDR2 1066/1333(OC), SATA 3Gb/s, RAID, ATX

That's a nice build.
Just dont get the Tenda wireless card (it has crappy range).
I got a Edimax wireless card for £12 that has a detatchable aerial.
And for £2 more, Scan have a special on TWIN2X4096-8500C5 RAM, which has better latency.
The 720 BE is sweet
The PSU and motherboard are on Scan Today Only until midday and are hence both cheaper(especially the PSU which is £52). I also have the Edimax EW-7128G and it is a decent wireless card for the price and on Scan Today Only also! For the extra £2 it maybe worth going for the lower latency RAM too.
I would make sure you get the RAM,motherboard and CPU from Scan and is would easier to return the whole she-bang to Scan if there are any issues(hopefully not).
Also the OP should make sure that they activate their free postage on Scan orders over £20 excluding VAT as they have 20+ posts on Hexus.
It appears Scan has increased the price of my memory from 37 to 48 pounds so instead I'm getting
this one. Any thoughts on it?
@rushholme How is the edimax wireless card?
Mine has been absolutely superb since I purchased it and it's running fine in windows vista 64-bit edition.
Fair enough I've got the 802.11n card with the additional MARS antenna relocation kit, but I'm only running it at 802.11g as the network I'm connecting to hasn't been updated yet and is sporadically available but when connected, it's stable and so far I've had no issues with the card or the software AP that is with it.
Can anyone also recommend a good DVD rewriter?
Sony Optiarc and LG burners are very good IMO. The Optiarc AD-7240S-0B and the LG GH-20NS15 both produce good quality burns.

I bought a pioneer sata one from ebuyer. Quiet operation and was only £14 at the time iirc
I would probably go for this drive:

The Edimax card is great (well, it works and has good range). I put an external aerial on mine which was a £5 on ebay.
Go for SCAN code LN24128 for the RAM @ £50.19.

Also the Edimax card works well under Linux too as it was automatically detected and installed by the newer versions of Ubuntu.

Heatsinks and timings. That RAM has low latency compared to some of the cheaper sticks so will give slightly better performance and should be better at overclocking.
