    Computer Cannot Connect to Network

One of the computers in my house is having trouble connecting to the network. At first it just couldn't connect to the internet, but now it times out even trying to get into the router settings. I've tried different cables and different ports on the router but all have the same outcome. I'm guessing it's either something up with the network card, but I don't know how I would go about troubleshooting this issue, and I don't have another network card to try with it.

Windows reports everything to be fine, drivers up to date and no conflicts. Any idea what to try?

Are you actually seeing the link lights come up or not even getting that?

^ what the above has said, check the link light on the pc nic card is up.

Is the pc plugged directly into the router? Can you ping the router IP address from the pc (via command line)?

A good would be "netsh diag show test /v > c:\nicdiag.txt" redirected to a file as it can run to a page or 2.....
