I am tasked with producing less than 1 picofarad caps using a DAD320 dicing saw and 25 mill 91.2 dk NGK substrate. Mostly I can hold a one per cent tolerance, but one product is...touchy, shall we say? I'd dearly love to narrow the range if possable. I know I'm pushing the limets here, but still I think with a saw that holds 6 microns I should be able to come a little closer to the ideal. The spindle speed is set at 30k and I have the table speed at .050/sec. The water is cold and I have no indication of blade issues. Measuring every cap isn't in the cards. but the sample size (within reason) is my call. We're a small shop making ceramic filters, and this one is in the 1.9 Gig range.
Any ideas?
