Broadband droping and noise on line

As per title, I've been through hell these past few hours trying to sort it. Started yesterday! the line is really noisy so we thought to change the filters....no help, so pluged the phone into the master socket and the problem on the line is solved....plug in the filter (any filter new or old) and the noise came back! to top that of the internet is droping constantly through the day! when i phone o2 support it had droped 77 times....and continued to drop as i was on the phone to him! we was told to contact sky but they have said our line is ok but they will do some "tests" on it.

I did a bt test thing aswell, it came back fine yet failed with the router pluged in Has anyone got any idea what is going on?

p.s there is no roadworks near us as o2 tech asked this lol

Do you have an electromagnetic pulse generator which you've accidentally left plugged in?

Or any doomsday devices for that matter?

Then I can categorically state that one of those devices is not affecting your telephone line.

That'll be £1,000,000 please, payable in twenty pence pieces

Re: Broadband droping and noise on line

So your t'interwibble is with O2, Telephone calls with Sky and line rental with BT?

    Correct?

I'm presuming that you have tried using the test socket behind the master faceplate to eliminate an internal wiring issue?

Disconnect everything from the phoneline except one telephone (not wireless handset)

    Does the problem still exist?

Right, tell Sky that you have a voice fault on your line.

Re: Broadband droping and noise on line

To update a little, we had a dude from BT come out on wednesday, he decided to double filter our line (we use an extension) and of course we then had no internet and he blamed the fault on our internal wireing....

I was not there my mother was so i couldnt correct the dumb ass! either way i got rid fo the double filter (i mean honestly this guy really works for bt? muppet) and we had anouther guy come out yesterday. He tested the line and i explained the problem, gos out to one of the boxs near us (the ones with many wires XD) and comes back with a positive "your wire was badly damaged so ive replaced it" i test the line and sure enough problem solved! very happy and just proves i wasnt going mad!

But now the internet still struggles to sync up every time and here is something which proves to be a MAJOR problem in my books...(gamer btw)

    and a ping test...

Now i've got anouther guy coming out to try and fix the broadband issue! I can honestly say that since this started (must be a week now) i've been patient with them but now it's wearing thin and they best sort it for next weekend (double xp on red dead!!) not impressed
