    Re: Slow laptop

dell is notorious for cheap everything so i would try taking out the rams and replacing it with something different if you can get your hands on some. I had a xps one and was so surprise how quick it was as soon as i replaced the samsung rams that were in there. i even replaced it with cheap corsair ones so might be something to try

    Re: Slow laptop

In reference to an earlier point (I hope I'm not trolling here) I would certainly check that any seeming superfluous partitions don't have any recovery data on before zapping them

Toshiba lappys are shocking for providing loads of useless apps as well - I normally uninstall them, defrag you drive/partitions - empy temp folder, set virtual memory to manage itself and perhaps run something like WISE registry cleaner for win7??
