Brand new PC problems with DVD writer!!!!

I bought new PC yesterday and everything was working fine. I installed Windows 7, applications and two games. This morning I wanted to burn some files but Nero and Power ISO showed Error! Later, after I uninstalled Nero, my computer didn't see DVD writer at all! And when I enter BIOS Boot Management I can't switch 1st Boot Sequence to DVD, it just shows my hard drive....Nor I can 'enable' IDE Primary master and slave....I have no idea what's wrong, yesterday it worked perfectly and I haven't done anything to it to mess it up this much....I think that maybe my DVD writer 'died'....It should be Samsung but I don't see 'Samsung' written anywhere and I can't open computer because of the guarantee....HELP!

Hi there, don't know if this will work for you or not but try and go 'back in time ' to a point when you loaded win 7 . Don't know how this work under win 7 but if you root around the 'maintenance functions' you may be able to restore the computer to the date you loaded win 7 i.e. before you loaded or deleted 'nero. Failing this you may have to reload windows. My option would be to do a fresh instal if no date set for above.

If you can't even open the computer because of the guarantee then I'd request help from the seller. It could be as simple as the cable coming loose, but if that falls under their warranty then they've got to deal with it.

That would be a bit tricky, if there's no DVD drive to read the win 7 install disk from no?
