    Blue Screen

Ran computer for about 2 years, then started to get blue screen.
I have latest bios, all drivers up to date.
If I use default settings in bios computer crashes.
If I reduce bios ram speed from Auto to 667 it will run all day long.
If I leave settings 0n Auto and remove 2 sticks of ram leaving 2x1Gb it will run all day long.
Ram actual speed is 640 800
All 4 sticks have cooling pannels on them.
CPU temp 23c Scythe Samurai Cooler 92mm Fan Artic sylver 5 Paste.
    Ram temp 35c
    Enviro temp 28c
    These Temps are at idle.
Ran MemTest all cards are OK
    Can anyone help.
    Thanks

    Re: Blue Screen

I had a similar problem with an Asus P5 board(think it was a P5N), after a year or so. The fix for me was one extra click of northbridge voltage. That seemed to allow me to run with all 4 sticks no problem.

It's also worth noting that the performance difference between running the ram at 667 vs 800 is basically non-existent. So failing all else, that fix will do you fine.

    Re: Blue Screen

Up the DRAM voltage and the northbridge. Have you made any serious driver changes recently? What is the bluescreen error? You have a minidump of it?

    Re: Blue Screen

Hi No I have not installed any drivers recently.
I have increase dram voltage 1 click, itr has ran for 20mins without crashing on cod4.
    That might have cured it.
    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards.
