Just chatting about if you put a southbridge heatsink on and you ever think you might want to remove it you should used 2/3 Epoxy 1/3 Arctic Silver. then when the time comes to remove it you can either heat it up/freeze it to loosen the bond.

    EDIT: POST 1000 YIPPIE! lol

    Np.
The normal parts of a pc that have to be cooled have been designed so that coolers can be attached with the proper equipment (the holes in your mobo and around your proc). Sometimes parts need to be cooled but don't have the holes. Thermal conductivity of the thermal paste is still needed but this time it needs to be held onto the chip too. This is where thermal epoxy comes into play. It's like normal epoxy adhesive. It comes in two parts which has to be mixed together equally. This is normally permanent. If you mix it with part normal thermal paste then it becomes less permanent so that in the future you can take it off with alot less chance of ripping the chip off too. When thermal paste/thermal epoxy becomes very cold/very hot it becomes less stable. When cold it becomes brittle so is easy to break. This can be acheived by putting the motherboard in a sealed anti static bag (sealed so as to avoid condensation (water+mobo=bad) ) in the freezer for a few hours. This can then be taken out and using a credit card to protect the mobo, a screw driver can be used to lever the heatsink off. This method also works with gfx card coolers aswell

Here is one, not sure if it comes with the thermal adhesive or not as the site is confusing.

Here is the thermal adhesive you will need if it doesn't come with any.

These zalman heatsinks have been known to perform well aswell.

You can just stick that on the southbridge instead of the northbridge and it will work fine
