Wireless networking

BT Voyager 2100
PCI adapter in main PC - XP Home connected by wireless connection
PCMIA card in Laptop - Win 2000
The 2 pc's can ping each other & the 2100
They can both connect to the internet
But i can't share folders nor printer on the main PC from the laptop
Help I'm going crazy here

What do you mean "can't"? Don't know how? Can't get them to see shared folders?

What i'd like too have happen as a minimum is be able to print a document from the laptop. The printer is connected via usb to the desktop. I'd ideally like to be able to see all files & folders on the desktop & be able to transfer files, too & from each other from the laptop.................I don't know how

have you shared the printer? right click on it, sharing tab. You have to do the same for the drives you want to share.

Yep that's it Flibb Right click the folder/drive/printer you wanna share, and click Sharing. Then enable it. It'll all be then visible in My Network Places on the laptop

This may sound like a simple thing but I spent ages swearing at my network, turned it off and back on again all was dandy. XP hadnt told me to reset, but it was needed.
