John, dunno about the trouble you're having, but to show a picture upload it to some web space somewhere, then hit the "insert image" button at the top of the text box you are typing in.

Copy and paste the URL of the image into the text after the [IMG] tag, then hit the "insert image" button again to place a [/IMG] tag after it... and when you post, your image will be displayed.

    Question

I reformatted because it was having graphical glitches in other games as well, counter-strike seems ok at the moment but it's still freezing when loading up map after changing to a differnt one. Also sometimes I will try and connect to games to start with and then the latency will go to 1001 or something like that and i can't connect. I think I've been told this is my router crashing or something. I have a static ip address and DMZ hosting on. Are there any other settings i can shange in the router because it's very irritating. Thanks again

It's now having artifacting or graphical problems on sid meirs pirates, is there a test i can do to see if theres a big problem? I'll re-install my vga silencer and put some more arctic silver on and see what happens, fingers crossed!

Well it seemed ok, no error or glitches in sid meirs pirates and then it went fuzzy in a fight scene and vpu recover came on, i know vpu recover can cause problems so i have turned it off now, this is rather worrying. I'm going to run prime 95 and see what it comes up with.

have you overclocked your 9800 pro? you say you reinstalled the vga silencer.. its possible you didnt install it correctly the first time and so the card has become damaged due to excess heat (ie there not being proper contact with the core)...

    Exclamation

I had it overclocked for a while but not excessively, it was 410/ 355 and it ran fine at higher speeds than that so i settled for that. I made sure it had proper contact, and i used arctic silver 5 and its been working for about 2 months like that so I don't know whats made it suddenly pop. I've just run prime for ages and thats ok so it's not the system. I then ran 3dmark 2001 and now its frozen and it displays that windows has recovered from a serious error. I think the graphics card may have gone. Any suggestions on what I can do?

Running just after fresh install of windows(4.12)

i don't know whether this is related, but using mi 6800le @ vanilla using gainward (goldensample) bios (gainward card i have) but on some server, after about 5secs to 5 mins the whole thing just crashes, and the system will just hang,

i am required to restart the pc, the screen goes to stanby, all the fans still spinning, and more often than not, nasty sounds coming from each speaker, alternately!

its a bitch, but it is strange it only happens on some servers! at certain times! i know my ping can go incredibly high, but normally that just makes cs hang, and i close down cs, and restart aol (crap i kno) and voila it works again, but the whole system ballsing up, can happen when my ping is perfectly acceptable, i.e. 40ish!

    anyone help?
