    Help WIth SN95G5

    Hello, FIRST POST!!
Well, i recently reformmated my computer due to keyloggers and trojans, ect. Im not very good with computers, but i know when something is wrong. I have a SN95G5 with a sapphire x800-pro, AMD 3500+, and 1 gb of kingston hyperx ram. I installed the driver that came with the shuttle for the x800 before i reformmated, and the card is not performming right. On counter-strike 1.6, i always got 100fps, and not im in the range of 70-80fps. An x800-pro should tear up games like counter-strike 1.6. Well, i dont know if the SN95G5 came with any preloaded drivers for the motherboard/chipset, and i dont even know if that would have an effect on the peformance of the gfx card. SOMEONE please help, im on a competitve gaming team, and they count on me to perform well!

you said you loaded the driver before reformatting? it should have been after. there should have been mobo chipset drivers supplied with the shuttle too i would have thought (though i'm not a shuttle user)
i would recommend reformatting again. installing xp, with sp2 if you wish. set up internet and run auto apdate. then install chipset drivers followed by the latest ati drivers (catalyst 5.1, about 50meg download from their site. best to get a copy of this on cd before the format). that should work. if you dont have access to a fast internet connection, then use the most recent catalyst you can get hold of, or the one that came with your shuttle.

I reformmated, then downloaded the drivers for the x800. I tried every single driver possible for the card, and all of the same performance resulted from this. Shuttle didnt send me any cd's with info, and I just want to have my computer the way it was before the reformmating. Since its not the driver for the graphics card, I'm thinking i need to get a driver for the motherboard to make the gfx card performming the same it did.

Try using driver cleaner to ensure that the oem drivers included with XP aren't messing it up

sounds to me like you need to install the motherboard drivers, I would suggest that you uninstall the gfx drivers, then install the lastest Nvidia unified drivers for your motherboard that can be found Here then re-install your gfx drivers
