how can I enable DMA in XP?

I want to ensure DMA is enabled on my hard drives to improve performance of my tv card but I cannot find where you would do this.

I went to the properties page of each drive via device manager and a couple of things I have read told me to go to the settings page and there will be a check box. There is no settings page when I go to the properties page.

    Any ideas?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

You need to look at the properties of the HDD Controller, not the individual drives.

The DMA settings is in the device manager, but its under your IDE interface drivers, and not the drive itself.

If it wasn't in DMA mode, your computer would be a complete slug. It's pretty easy to tell when it happens.
