    mysterious mobo

    i do not want to try bios upgrade
    ver 1.3 ?
    my taskbar icons appear disappear amongst other weirdness
    what way can i tell if i have the board ver that has cmos drain problem
    theres a visual way to telll ?
    anyone got 1.3 v bios
    cannot find at any msi sites?

    what could these symptoms be
    going to run memtest
    have been running passmark succesfully

    can i look in H?W info and tell if cmos is low battery

    HELP went thru helll buying and building

    You sound like a computer tekki with memory loss....no offence, but the problem matter you have there is so vague, I can't begin anywhere. It sounds like a 10 year old wrote this...

    So you have a problem with dissapearing icons? Well that isnt hardware related.

    MSI make more than one NF4 motherboard - every motherboard has a model number.

    I can't say I've come across such problem as a CMOS "drain". The only deriverment of "drain" in a computer is in the semi conductor manfucturing process.

    Memtest will help you with...oh wait I know this one...Memory? The problems you describe aren't memory related at all...

    Its an MSI NF4 board - the battery should run out in about 10 years time..not straight out of the box. The motherboard will soon tell you if its low.

    Also, you say to don't wantto upgrade the BIOS- yet your asking if anyones got a 1.3 BIOS...well dude...come on cut us ome slack here.

    The best thing you can do now is take a step back and breath. Then download CPUz and screenshot it for us.
