Cannot set up network on laptop

Trying to get my laptop to connect wirelessly to my router. Did this before by running the network wizard. Now, whenever I try to run the wizard - nothing. I cannot get it to run.

Laptop is from pc world so only a backup disc(which I have misplaced).

Wireless wizard runs but cannot connect to network with it.

    suggestions?
I do know everything, just not all at once. It's a virtual memory problem.

can you see your wireless router when you search for available networks?
If you can then have you got encryption enabled? If so do you have the right key?

To get it running switch off all your firewalls and encryption and then enable them one at a time once you have a connection, checking it still works after you enable anything.

i had a problem similar to this. what i dont was first of all reset the router and reconfigured it from scratch, then in uninstalled the network card/adapter then reinstalled it. and in my case everything seemed to work fine.
    Hope this helps
