    Unhappy Help first time builder

Hello guys first time here.. I'm trying for the first time to build a system from some parts I had laying around, they all worked before..

    AMD Athlon 2.2
    Abit NF7S
    ATI 9700 PRO
    Soundblaster
    Net Gear nic
    1024 PC 3200
    500 watt pw

Here is the problem..Computer is Laying on the table when I push the power button everything starts spinning and in about 30-40 seconds it starts a continuous short beeping.According to a post else where on this forum by Lee@Scan this would be a PW sup issue.I plugged in another PW sup and it does the same thing.I checked all connections.reseated the cards and ram and cleared the BIOS,no dice..Any ideas

Make sure the ram is seated correctly. Its a common problem, if necessary take it out give the slots a blow and push it hard back in.

If that doesnt work repeat for graphics card and finally try and reseat the CPU.

If you can get the exact combination of beeps and match it up to these http://www.bioscentral.com/beepcodes/awardbeep.htm (i think thats the correct bios for the NF7S)

Don't be discouraged... logical thinking seems to be unbeatable sometimes, but computers can be extremely awkward seemingly to drive us mad at other times!
