dvd driver issues!?

Windows is asking me for a driver, for my pinneer 109 dvdr. It used to work fine, then stoped working about a month ago and i dont know why

I can only think some kind of rootkit/dodgy copy protection software - but the only thing installed around the time it happened was quake4 demo.

Im thinking i will need to reinstall to get this fixed, I hope not...




I noticed it a few months ago when drive wasnt showing in explorer (and still isnt). it was showing in device manager like it is now.. i clicked uninstall but didnt change anything on next restart,,,

strangly this pc has never had any apdec software installed afaik...

nice to see ms sites stilll dont work properly in firefox... and somehow my IE is buggered so i cant select text by dragging mouse

and it says media player, never had any version above 6.4 installed.... looks like i will need to put that on too..

fixed! the problem was cdrom.inf was missing, which is probably what the system file was, which chkdsk found a few months ago... copyed it over from other pc and it works
