Getting rif of Linux - what about my MBR?

First of all, see the following pic:



Disk 1 is my main one. I'd like to get rid of everything other than C: on it and extend C: to fill the disk.

Problem is that I have Ubuntu installed on the end of it and I have the Grub boot loader taking care of my booting options.

So...You can probably see I have Partition Magic 8. I know how to delete partitions and extend them, but what do I do about Grub and my MBR?

Is there not a PM option to re-write your MBR etc?

Or how about sticking your XP disk back in and telling it to do a repair install. I think there is an option in there to just sort out your MBR. NT, 2K and XP are all pretty brutal when it comes to installing on a system.

Aye, boot with your XP disc and go into the recover console and type "fixmbr" (I think thats the right command), and that will write a default Windows MBR and get rid of GRUB, then you can format the Linux Partition and not have to worry

fixmbr did the trick and it's all sorted now
