    Intel Pentium 4 P4 3.0GHzSocket 478 HT 800FSB wont turn on

I Upgraded from my intel about 6 weeks ago so i left my intel pc set up in the case all i took out was the RAM, so the other day i was going to put the pc on a linux server so my mate give me some 512mb pc 2100 to get it working again but When i try to turn it on now there is no life there, seeing it ran on a pc 3200 stick of ram before i was wondering if it was because the ram speeds were to slow for the cpu. Ty for ur time

If you can get the PC on, you should be able to change the speed the RAM runs at in BIOS. Failing CPU test is not good. Any chance you might of given it a bit of static shock when you first took the RAM?

Any chance you could get hold of another compatible CPU and see how that behaves in your Mobo?

Sounding horribly like a fried CPU though......
