    Exclamation samsung laptop not working!!!!!!!!!

    its an x30 samsung and whenever i turn it on the screen is just white and eventually lines appear. like purple and yellow, and it seems that everything is working in the background, it also seemd like a gradual process, gfx card?? ty hit

    Yeah, graphics chip or possibly video cable to the TFT (these can break as they are part of the hinge usually).

    Do you even get any text when the computer boots up or is it broken right from the start?

    You can also test by plugging a monitor into the laptop and seeing if it's able to display on that.

    its broken right from the start. it was on and i was in word then the screen went funny. so restarted and then on the bios screen it went funny then the third time it wouldnt even turn on.

    Well I think you'll have to say goodbye to the laptop then. But just incase, try a monitor.

    ahh monitor doesnt work either, can i change the gfx card? or is it soldered in?

    It's fixed. Samsung could replace it if it's under warranty, but otherwise the repair would cost more than a replacement. You can get your hard drive out though and via an adaptor connect it to another computer to transfer any data.
