Power-up delay...

Just built a C2D system that works fine except there's about a 2 second delay between hitting the power button and anything happening.

Any ideas as to what it could be?

I have similar symptoms on an old Shuttle system. I started this thread about it around a year ago.

I still have not figured out the cause, though I suspect the PSU.

System is as follows:

C2D E6300
MSI P965NEO-F
380W Seasonic S12-380

BIOS is the latest version as far as I know.

Update the motherboard bios and try another PSU

Its normal mate, most c2d boards do it, and some worse than others, the worst that I have used was an msi 975 power up and that was hit and hope, closely followed by the Gigabyte DS3.
