If only it were an inch bigger and 1600 pixels deep. When will we ever get monitors like that? :-(

This would really help with writing up my thesis and writing C++ code. A bit of gaming wouldn't hurt either though

I'm not even sure my card will output at that resolution - might need an upgrade just to use it, but so much extra space for CAD

Or like http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CROSSOVER-30Q5-Pro-30-LG-IPS-Q5-2560-1600-WQHD-16-10-PC-Monitor-/261131991698, which I like, especially as they pivot, allowing two portrait sidekicks to a central landscape. Alas, I'm already stocked up with 24" monitors and even these import prices are too high to justify upgrading.

Actually I was being ironic in my earlier post. 30" 2560x1600 has been around for ages but here we have innovation! Just as with 1920x1200, they've taken a fine width and height and chopped pixels off the vertical so that all those people who love scrolling can do even more of it. However, with these 29"ers they've taken off a generous 520 pixels instead of the paltry 80 that they took off the 24" monitors. Woohoo! Progress is a marvelous thing. ;o)

I would say don't hold your breath too long, I've been entering Hexus competitions for as long as Hexus has been holding them and I've yet to win a thing. The site generates a *lot* of traffic.
