Perhaps it's the enjoyment and challenge of building that I like? Always been the same, no matter what I was doing - RC cars, planes, PC's, etc...

    Commodore64 blew goats

I wanted/needed a BBC Model B to learn structured programming etc...

...but it was £100 more than I had...

...so I ended up with a Vic20 on steroids

The school I was at was kitted out with BBC's. Parents got me a second-hand Vic20... Then the teacher who did woodwork, graphic design, and computing was selling a Speccy - guess who got that?

Well BASIC on the C64 didn't rock, but the hardware was pretty darn cool. As for the beeb - ITS A SHAME IT ONLY UNDERSTOOD UPPER CASE and the EPROMS kept popping out when they got hot

Which reminds me, I have a never opened AMIGA 1200 Magic Pack in the attic along with the rest of my AMIGA collection. It may be worth something one day. Its nice to see Commodore back as sorts but I'd rather see someone buy the AMIGA name and do somethig useful with it like do a killer media machine or something.
