If it had the gameplay of the original I wouldn't care if the graphics were also like the original..
In fact, play Far Cry with the latest patches and it still looks wonderful

Far Cry is one of my all time faves, and as others have pointed out is still looks really pretty with the latest patch on top, even now. Part of me is sceptical - I hope they don't ruin the Far Cry name with a crappy cash-in-on-the-name title...

Well, they've got a sound basis to work from after Far Cry and we all know Crysis is looking very good indeed.

Not much is known aside from Ubisoft Montreal is doing it - I wonder which game engine it'll be? I'm guess it won't be the crysis one either.

ubisoft grabbed the licence after the original farcry was so great, then sort of bodged a million sequals that wern't up to cryteks standard. I'm gonna be a little bit sceptical about this one for now...I do smell the UT3 engine here.

Will be interesting to see how this one pans out with regard to graphics/gameplay. Loved the graphics in Far Cry but the storyline was a bit lacking and I thought the vehicle driving levels were well... a bit pants. No doubt it'll sell well off the back of the original, what's in a name eh
