Gotta agree with all of that. The film is amazing, it really is a contender for one of the best films ever released. The feeling of terror you get as the Joker starts to wreak havok on Gotham is something I've not felt in any film for a long time. You've got to wonder how Nolan (or anyone else) is ever going to top this now.
I thought it was cool. Bale under-acts Batman well, the Joker was top, the "what defines a hero" musing was intelligently done and even the love interest sub-plot wasn't too nauseating.
All in all can't fault it at all but for some reason I left feeling it was really good but not all-time great. I didn't have that WOW feeling like I did when I left The Fellowship of the Ring and I won't be inclined to watch it over and over again like The Godfather.
Well worth seeing nonetheless.
I still prefer George Clooney.
....
JOKE!
I agree to.
I really enjoyed this film. I like the new approach to this franchise, brings it into the 21st century and adds a little more realism to it.
Ledger's performance as the joker was brilliant... I expect there will be an award for him. Its ashame he died so long, I think this film really showed what he was capable of.
Personally I thought it was good, but a little over-hyped.
There were some chase scenes that felt SLOW - 5mph slow - and the Harvey Dent thing didn't work for me. (I wont go into detail as it may spoil it for others).
I didn't leave the cinema thinking "WOW! What the heck was that!?!?", like I did when seeing the Matrix for the first time.

Ist say I enjoyed the film, however it didn't grab me by the seat of my pants the way Batman Begins did. I am also bored of hearing about Ledger, yeah he was good, but lets be honest if it wasn't for his untimely death no one would be mentioning him getting any awards.
Personally I was also a little disappointed with the Harvey Dent story, I just feel a bit short changed by it....
thats been mentioned somewhere before... but everyone that was working with him on-set and who was involved in production, were talking about how well he was doing in the role and that there was a high chance that he could get awards, all of that being while he was still alive...
So they say now.... I dunno I heard very little about the movie before he died (quite expectedly as the movie hype band wagon hadn't started to roll), then as soon as he died it was all refering to the Crow and Brendon Lee, then as the movie started to get closer to release date more and more hype came out about his role and then the oscar stuff started up....
Don't get me wrong, I think he did a great job as the Joker. I would say he is easily as good as Jack Nicholson was, however I don't think his acting is worthy of an oscar and I very much doubt that if he where still alive there would be much of a push for him to get one for this role.
I should really go and see this.
Its got some of my favorite actors, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Heath Ledger, and it looks as though they pulled off good performances.
I enjoyed Batman Begins so I should enjoy this one
You almost certainly will
Quite a few have said that The Dark Knight is or isn't the best film of all time. I think it's impossible to give any one film that title. Movies like Star Wars and The Godfather are right up there, but even comparing those two is like comparing apples and oranges.
The Dark Knight couldn't possibly be the #1 best movie, but I enjoyed it so much I'd class it as one of the many all-time greats.
As far as comic-book adaptations go, it's right up there with Superman The Movie.
best ever batman film, makes the others look amateur.
the performance of the main 3 actors (2face, batman and joker) are phenominal.
I liked the cop Gordan performance as well.
Some cool stuff and the best one yet
Went to see the movie again last night - absolutely love it!
The BatPod is just the right amount of cool. Go too far and you've got a scene like Yoda vs Dooku at in Episode II.
They got it bang on with the BatPod, it's as close to silly as you can get without actually crossing the line. Even heard a few gasps from the audience when Batman pulls out his tricks on the bike. Awesome awesome awesome.
Got to buy the soundtrack!
Deffinatly watch it at the cinema, it would be a shame to see it any other way the first time
Aye needs to be seen on the big screen.
heard its even better ont he Imax but the closest to me is manchester
