On the other hand, it is just a motherboard to me - and I like to think I'm a reasonable guy - so if it really genuinely would make that much of a difference to you (and provided you can't get one from Novatech/Scan tomorrow) then feel free to P.M. me, explain the situation and I'd happily give up my board for what it cost me.

you sir are indeed a gentleman. just ignore my posts really they were nonsense. its just frustrating to plan a build meticulously and then suddenly a website cant stick to its timings. im just a little frustrated at the sites that said they would be live at 2pm and then went ahead at selling them at 10-11am. ive just been desperate for a decent machine for a while and ofcourse i could of got one at any time but i thought it would be best to wait and see. my posts were a bit silly really and over the top. i appologise, they were just written out of frustration more than anything

follow my example and don't buy MSI because they make us fight like dogs lol.

Gigabyte is generally better for overclocking anyway!

I like the way there's an advert on this forum for the MSI promo offer. Any more salt for your wounds, Roobaby? :/

I ordered a GD65 from OcUk this morning with extortionate postage, so i managed to get one from scan too with free delivery.

Ive rang OcUk and cancelled my order so that free's up one more that can be allocated to one of the people they have no stock for

For anyone who is properly gone to upgrade using this board soon:

    http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/p...12800/1600MHz/

Best memory deals I can find.

Alot better and cheaper than the corsair stuff on scan.

No worries Gaz, all is forgiven!

The apology is appreciated but uneccesary - we've all had our ranty moments. It is such a shame though when these things are essentially reduced to a lottery because, as we all know, lotteries are never fair... Maybe tomorrow you'll get lucky though.

And seriously, I hope things look up for you soon

the evga p55 standard was on scan at 9am for £104 but went back about ten to get it and had gone to £148 was gutted.

i kinda had to jump in the end i lined up a buyer for my q9550 and board and as was offered £140 for it which was £10 less than the i5 750 had to go for it.

those evga boards do look sweet for sure

I was looking at them when they where £104 as well, but £148 is too much even if it's all black and sexy looking.

I would of loved to get one of the high end boards like the Asus Maximus III Formula but there's no way I could afford it.
It's going to be hard enough scrapeing together enough for the cpu as I have no high end components to sell off as I'm still on a e6600 and MSI p35

Had a look at the memory..
Any reccomendations ? Is the slightly lower CAS worth the cash ??

Is it worth the extra to get

    G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000C9 2000MHz Dual Channel Kit
    2000MHz RAM Speed, CAS 9-9-9-24 Timings, 1.6-1.65v VDIMM, ??

Would it make it easier to overclock the i5, or is the FSB unlinked from the memory on the new MSI boards ?

i am lucky i have a q9550 and 3 p35 diamonds to sell on and already have some cas 6 ddr3 so was less harsh on my wallet. the evga is sexy and does seem to keep going between 101 and 148 but definitely not worth the 148 cost.

I kinda like the asus anyway as its black and blue and will look good with my black case and blue watercooling setup.

Re: News - MSI to offer a 55% launch-day discount on P55 motherboards

Unfortunately we've been informed of a further delay which means we're not able to fulfil your order as soon as we'd hoped. Please be assured we're doing everything we can and stock should be with us soon if you're able to wait with us
Will the price be the same, Scan?
