I've just got the same e-mail...Will the price be the same, Scan?
I'm guessing (hoping) that it's just the automatic e-mail generated when a Pre-Order item doesn't come into stock at the time it's meant to (and that it won't affect the pricing of the products we ordered)...
nice one what a rubbish promotion, no stock anywhere - bit like a argos sale stratergy. Well doesn't on me will look for another manufacturer

MSI themselves confirmed that it would be 2PM, 8th September and initially Scan, CCL, Ebuyer and OCUK were taking part, then OCUK were "swapped" for novatech, and then it was the other way around. Very confusing and 10 boards per retailer or whatever it was was silly.
I suppose scan couldnt say yes or no to this becuase of the NDA. Isnt it about time Hexus removed those 55% off ads, seems like salt to the wound.

oh righty then. was just curious about why people were making such a fuss.
it all boils down to confusing info somewhere.
Not if they've been paid to display them unfortunately...or if they're using an Ad Management program and don't have fine control over which ads are displayed.
I knew it was going to be like this, it was a limited stock promotional offer and at 55% off you could pritty much predict the out come.
my ebuyer order is still on Goods Allocated and no out of stock e-mail as of yet so it's looking good
I think MSI sould of made them as a seperate product, same motherboard but slightly different box & manual artwork (or just a sticker on it) maybe throw in some little extra, like an aditional sata cable with one right angled end
esp as it seems that the number of boards the e-tailers could sell for this reduced price was less than the total stock they received.

Well according to Novatech's forum they'll "most likely" be running the promotion at 2pm tomorrow. I'd post the link but I'm not allowed to as I'm a sub-5 post newbie. Oh and hello, I'm new here.
Please post Facts although we did release early the situation was the same
Limited Stock 1st come 1st served if you Card / paypal declines then there is nothing scan can do about this its you bank you have to speak to.
Declines can be for many reasons
A) Not enough funds
B) Fraud Check
c) incorrect details
most of which Scan can do nothing about without the card holders permission.
If we have X amounts of orders payment authoised then they come first.

I think I read on the Novatech Forum that they only had SIX of these boards available at that price - though not sure if that was the expensive board or the cheaper version. But 6 boards is not exactly much of a promotion is it??
Also according to OCUK they are not impressed by the "Overclocking Stability" on these MSI boards - but I basically think that could be a blatant lie to try and get everybody to buy a different make of board at a vastly inflated price.
Suppose it doesnt matter seen as its going to some chum on ebay.
