Re: News - Pirates enjoy Forza 3 ahead of release

This will happen again and again and again until somebody comes up with a good way of preventing piracy. What that will be - I don't know.

Part of the problem (so it would seem) is that the vast majority of people don't have a problem with piracy - and I can understand why in certain instances. Another part of the problem is that people on the net seem to want everything. It can't be standard or free, it must be Vista Ultimate, Office Ultimate, Kaspersky, Photoshop, Acronis Enterprise, every game that comes out etc.

And that stuff costs so much money that average Joe must either pirate it or do without - quite why he thinks he needs it, I don't know, but I'm sure that for some people it's true.

As well, there's just such an attitude of "why pay more" - I remember getting laughed at at school for buying Vista .

0.o you dare to slag the game from the genius that is Tim Schafer, the one that brought along the madness of Psychonauts? Also one of the writers behind Monkey Island etc

Go check out the demo for it on the 360 or PS3. If you are a heavy metal fan then I would say this is the game for you

Re: News - Pirates enjoy Forza 3 ahead of release

Ive seen a few uploads of PS3 games and they were similar in size to their 360/PC counterparts.
Anyway, T10/MS deserve this for making me wait when its gone gold and i so want now
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

I propose a national "Punch a pirate in the face day", we all know at least one so why not for a day make it legal to punch them?

some people with over 10mbps broadband could download a 50gb file in one or two days mate.

I Also disagree how pc games are easier to find. how can they be? the same places you see these pirated pc games are the same places you see console games.

The only thing i agree on is that you dont have to modify your PC. I remember this time last year fabl;e 2 and gears of war 2 were leaked a few weeks early as well. o bet you a million pounds that COD MW2 will be leaked first week of November if not earlier.

It would be nice if Turn 10 just released the game this friday
You said 'he works for Sony based on a rumour', not that 'a rumour is he works for Sony'. The two have different meanings.

You may be willing to wait that long, but up to 50gb is someone's download allowance for the month on some services. That is also 2 days waiting for it where as you could go to a shop and get it, or for a lot of places buy online and have delivered in time. That also doesn't take into account unstable download speeds or lower speed downloads.

They may be in the same place but I don't have to open my pc and solder some part to another part, or install a chip or open it and flash xyz. It's a case of just install then copy over a file. I don't have to change firmwares or anything else.

I don't give a rats if MW2 is released early, I'll be buying it and waiting until the release unless street date is broken (which is the only date I care about relating to the game)

    Screw that

Make the game so unless you go online and get the patch you can't brake full stop!

I thought their launch day free dlc was a good idea as it's a redeem code in the box so also helps stop 2nd hand sales

But all you need is one of your mates to have a sufficiant broadband connection and you just give him a blank blu ray to burn it for u lol.

Their are ways to get pirated games if you dont have the internet speeds or allowance to do it yourself

Isn't that how most kids drive in these games anyway? The brakes usually consist of the car infront

The scene will only go and crack the patches, it's fairly commonplace.

QFT - it's not really a news story. Almost every single video game, music CD or movie is pirated prior to general release. Do a simple dupecheck somewhere or check an nfo site and look at the release dates of some products vs their nfo dates - almost always pirated first.

The answer to piracy is a very difficult one..been discussed may many times before and we never seem to work it out lol..

Re: News - Pirates enjoy Forza 3 ahead of release

Steam seems to be the best way currerntly for cutting down on piracy, hell I have even bought old games on steam I have on CD just for the convenience.
I know steam can still be cracked but its such a great service it they just had lower prices it might stop some people pirating.

Todays anti piracy idea, instead of cutting them off the net, give there local neigbours there adress and make it legal for anyone to go round the pikeys house and pinch what they want.
