I'm sure you can figure out what was meant...

    Video De-blocking support

Reduces blocking artifacts seen in low-bit rate video during playback
It would be interesting to see this in action.

I will be trying the Deblocking one.

I haven't been able to play h.264 videos without blocking in MPC for a while now.

Quite impressed with the new drivers. The Flash 10.1 h.264 smoothing actually works where it used to be choppy and its sorted a few issues with BC2 for me also

I would get the black screen lark when joining a game for a minute then it would start. This is the first ATi card I've used as I finally left the pricey nVidia cards alone and went for a cheaper 5870. Other than the slight issue's I have tried synching every frame and capping the fps to 60 but with these new drivers it's stopped now.

With the 10.5's it ran worse on the 5870 than it did on my 8800GTS

That's interesting - I got that and assumed it was just lagging out.
However I also get just plain 'Lost Comms with server' so maybe it is my connection.

Catalyst drivers appear every 4-5 weeks. This is June 2010, or 06-10, notice the similarity to the driver version?

These were released early however to counter nVidea's release the other day and to hook into the hype around Flash 10.1.

Only happens on my 5870 though, I am wondering if its due to a new build so it needs time to settle down, temps are fine, every other game works flawlessly.

Although I am playing BC2 on the 360 more these days as the hit detection actually works xD
Although dropping DX 11 in favour of DX10 seems to sort a lot of BC2's problems on the PC

Hmmm - I only have one EXE. How do you move between DX10 and 11 ?
I'm running a 5870 as well, so I'll be very interested in the effect of these new drivers. My temps dropped from idling at 44c to 41c due to the lower power of the 5870 and the reference cooler dumping the heat out the back. Very pleased.

Its probabily because by the time I get to updating the drivers, yes I can be very lazy, the other ones get released

My Asus 1GB 5870 sits around 36c idle and hits around 69c in this heat after hours of gaming so no worries there.

As for the DX trick, go into the settings config file in the BC2 folder created in your documents folder and you will see the option for DX version, just stick 10 in there instead of 11. Hell DX11 is only a handful of new shaders anyway, in a fast paced fps online you barely have time to even look at it.

I don't update to every release, far from it. I don't play games so there isn't generally much difference in driver packs for me. I will be upgrading to this though because of the video decoding for my HTPC. However this will have to wait a few weeks as I don't want to touch it until MediaPortal 1.1.0 final is out.

hmmm, might meen I do skip this release and wait for 10.7 after all.....
