Cool and all but I don't see how it's practically useful.
Re: terriblebugger.
When did practicalities/cost ever get in the way of 'fashion' (in the short term at least).
shop displays, vending machines = a useful application for transparent displays. Phones, not so good
About as useful as the transparent jacket
Agreed. Transparent displays would be fantastic. Add them to glasses, car windscreens and anything else suitable for your very own HUD
Cool but pointless I reckon.
In regards to the Transparent phone I think in terms of things like Augmented Reality a transparent phonewould open up some really cool possibilities
.
I don't get it, Some bloke just showed us a bit of perspex with a couple of watch battery's so it can play that song and a micro sd card stuck in the side, I've got a bit of perspex here, I just need that and the innards out of a singing Christmas card and I've got the same thing, But they should have a working sample by the end of the year.
Think I'll upload the video of me with my invisible phone, Should have a working example you can see by the end of the year.
Transparent phones have been around. 2009 saw this phone, Sony Ericsson Pureness. Saw a guy with one (literally as a fashion accessory) and had a quick go.

Just imagine if you dropped this thing, that would be few hundred dollars down the drain.
