Again, I need to see more of it, but they could have made it a touch longer, incase people wanted to install push pull rad setups on both the front and top. I'd say that the fans or rads might catch. Probably a month or so until we get some concrete reviews. Hopefully it sits at about £100.

Looks pretty cool I'm interested in how big it actually is it's hard to judge from just one angle

I think it will be way more expensive than £100 going by Corsairs existing range - wouldn't surprise me it if comes in about £150 ...

Not sure why Corsair decided to show this product off in a darkened room - did they want to simply show us the led lighting in the case as that is about as much as I can make out tbh.

Basically a revamp smaller version of Thermaltake's Mozart or the lian Li 373. Why Thermaltake or Lian Li didn't go back to these designs is beyond, they were good ideas with some stupid flaws that could have been easily resolved.

1 Mechanical for storage on computer, the rest in a NAS box. Makes perfect sense.

I have 4 140mm fans in my 650D all at 1000 RPM and they are silent but cool the fan well.

Depends where you're putting it - normal storage solutions may not fit this!

Hmmm, it seems they got a dude who can "pitch" pretty good too. Most of the "sales rep" type people in these companies are a bit... wooden.
Good looking case, the ideas pretty simple too. I don't see the harm in keeping the the size the same though, drop the front drive cages except 1 optical up in the roof. Have 2/3 blowholes on the top, the drive cages lower down in a seperate chamber with the PSU at the back (and their own fan of course) and 3 fans front, 2 back. High air-flow and clear path without the need for extra width...

    Just an idea.

This sales guy is George, the man who actually designs all their case line ups, he's a legend.

Got that right man. If you have room and no one can't see the cords, just shove them there and close the case. No work, no stress. Good design Corsair. Good case for those who rocks air cooling.

Reminds me of the Yeong Yang server cube from about 10 years ago. This case looks pretty awesome, but I would prefer more 3.5" bays.

I was thinking it needs more 5 1/4 bays - for Water cooling pumps and reservoirs

Also available for pre-order by our good friends at Scan:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/corsa...ing-for-revolu

Not a bad price all things considered. I'll probably wait for some reviews of it so see if the cooling is up to scratch, but I think that I'll get one of these. Might be a good inbetween case for decent air cooling, then a move into the world of water cooling

Re: News - Corsair unveils double-wide Carbide Air 540 chassis

Hmmm, this is simply what the Antec P180 did years ago - move the PSU (and some hard drives) to, in its case, a separate bottom chamber. Putting the PSU *behind* the motherboard wastes a lot of space unlike Antec's bottom chamber solution.

It is true that people were more likely to put hard drives behind the intakes with the P180 though, which isn't possible with Corsair's new cases.

Re: News - Corsair unveils double-wide Carbide Air 540 chassis

This is far more of a slimmed down mountain mods u2-ufo cube, turning 5.25" and psu on the side to make the cell behind the motherboard tray smaller.

By putting the psu and drive cages behind the motherboard tray you can greatly reduce the height and length, but have to make it wider.
Does seem to be more of a case up put on your desk not under it.

Does look very good and I have no doubt that the air cooing will be good.

I'm not sure this is going to be great for water cooling, as they have trimmed space here, they've obviously built it with an H100 type 240rad all-in-one cooler in the top or front in mind, not custom water cooling or thick rads.

I think trying to fit a 360rad + 240rad is going to be very tricky, the rads will fit but getting fans and pipes in is going to be a pain.
Also space for pump & res is limited, obvious place would be behind the motherboard above the ssd cage, but running the pipes from there is going to be a bit convoluted.

I really love the look of it.
