Holding out for the HD9970 before I'd decided, would've prefered some more from Nvidia personally, with all the card bar the 780 being rebrands and the 780 itself being a Titan LE pretty much, I was fairly underwhelmed, its a good card but nothing really new by any stretch.

No, no no, no, no. Nonono, no I'm not buying into Nvidia's marketing to push price higher like they did in the old days. No...no...
I'm thinking of laying off the GTX 700 series till Maxwell as I have the GTX 570's in SLI and in most games I get between 60-100fps in most of the recent games that have come out.
I wish. Gonna be holding out for the 880/9970.
I aint no mug, screw nvidia and their rip off pricing.
It strikes me that it's been priced to allow the 770 to slot in at the same price as the current 680 (which it is just a rebrand of). Paying the same price for the same tech more than one year on is not how it should be working. Not impressed.
Simply put, it's £100 too expensive (even for a premium card) for me.
Great card, no doubt performs well, but this generation of card has about 3/4 of a year left to run until the new architecture from AMD and Nvidia are released..... my hope is that these will perform >30% higher than this card and have more features to boot.
In protest of the current pricing strategy, I'd probably by another 570 to keep me going if I need more GPU grunt.
NO, no, no, no... Cause I bought a GTX TITAN last month and my CG artist soul is floating sweetly somewhere between Venus and Jupiter. Shut UP, Morons.
And Thanks NVIDIA! freelance CG Artists love you.
Their cards keep getting cheaper to manufacture yet consumer price keeps going up.... also I'm playing metro atm with a 670 and x2msaa is not worth $650 to me by any stretch of the imagination so no, im not.
i can't afford one, i live in a pos country!
Definitely not enough of an upgrade for me, will be waiting for the next generation I think!
I bought a GTX 285 when it was the top single GPU card and it was about £330. No way to justify that kind of price hike.
Still no need for one, my OC'd 480GTX runs Crysis 3 at max settings 720p 60fps 3D on my TV at a strong frame-rate. If I played on a 1080p monitor in 3D it may be a different story but right now there's zero reason to move on.
