I upgraded from a 48" Phillips Ambilight LCD to a Samsung 51" 3D Active Shutter Plasma.

Used it a few times now for the 3D content.

Watched Horse of the Year show on Sky 3D which was really good, also bought on Bluray Dredd (Big Fan of the comics, not the terrible Stallone version) & The Hobbit which is REALLY good in 3D.

I have also streamed games from my PC to the TV using Nvidia 3D and the Gigabyte Skyvision kit. ONly downside to this is the fact the maximum resolution is 720p, stilll works well though.

I have also played a few 3D games like Killzone 3 & Sly Cooper Trilogy HD on my PS3 in 3D and it works well

Must admit, it is good but its not something that gets used often, use it to much and it gives me and my wife a really bad headache, especially the gaming side of things.

Nope, just doesn't do it for me. Only time I've ever been impressed by 3D was in an Imax theatre and even then I'd only go for it once in a while. More extra hassle and expense for something that, in my opinion, doesn't do anything to enhance my experience. In fact it often has the opposite effect.
Besides I'm quite happy with the great deal I got on a 50 inch full HD LG Plasma from Amazon Marketplace last year - £417

I have a UE46D8000 Samsung, cracking TV. The 3D i use occasionally (watch the opening scenes of Hugo for best 3d experience I have seen on a TV) and its a nice gimmick, but i bought the TV for its 2D picture, which is stunning. The thing with 3D on a small screen is that you look deep into the picture rather than expecting things to leap out at you, that can only happen when the screen fills your vision.

I have a Panasonic GT30 47" & its a very good TV, 3D is OK but that's not why I bought the TV, it was the picture that won me over....

Bought a Sony kdl46w905 it's active, had it for 2 days, bought it mainly due to the low input lag (can confirm i don notice lag). The 3d and apps i didn't really care for. Its active and so far i have watch the amazing superman which i must admit looked really good. Although i don't think 3d really adds anything special to the movie. 3D is a gimmick I would enjoy a movie equally with or without 3d.

I have. But not because I specifically wanted 3D, just a lot of TVs nowadays come with it by default. I think that's mainly the reason why 3D TV sales have increased. If we saw the numbers for amount of people who have ever USED 3D, it would be a lot lower.

No, I dislike 3D as it gives me migraine. I have a 55" Samsung non 3D and that suits me fine.

I don't bother with TV. But if I did, 3D would never have influenced my purchase decision one single bit.

I already wear glasses, why would I want to put another pair on top? No I haven't and wouldn't, my 46" panny plasma is all I need.

With Comcrap as my only TV company around, I wouldn't. They have a retarded fee for everything.

I am happy with my 3D monitor I use for gaming, an Asus VG236H.

Never fancied 3d in cinemas, let alone on my tele! I am happy with 2d and given the choice of a 2d or 3d film I will always watch in 2d as this works for me! So purposly bought an older model tv without 3d but with dnla and other feastures that I do amnd will use. ps I forgot to add that my poor eyes spend so much time trying to focus and marry the two differing images together it just does not work, but then I hate pop videos as by the time I focus they have moved onto another image so it is just a blur!!

Like a lot of others, I would not want to replace a perfectly adequate working screen for another with limited source of content and dubious benefit.

Maybe when my current panel finally expires, the 3D content will be mainstream and normal. Maybe 3D will be the standard technology by then as well.

No 3DTV here, still have an old 42" Panny thats perfectly fine for the little television i do watch.
Despite things like 3D and all the other features now available the trend to dumbed down television programmes and general lack of quality puts me off investing in a new television set even at the prices you can pick a decent model up for.
What i would like to see is a better selection of full HD flat panels in the 42" - 60" range (with or without 3D) with no TV tuner in them.
