Re: Features - QOTW: Which mouse do you use for PC gaming?

Logitech G400 (v2) for the last few years, which set me back about £20. Current mice on the market are not competitive either in terms of price or performance. Having said that, there is some interesting hype about CM Storm's upcoming products (Alcor, Mizar, Spawn v2) and, more generally, the new Pixart 3310 optical sensor may have potential.

But I'm hoping my G400 doesn't die any time soon...

Atm i'm using an old logitech optical mouse, I tried upgrading to a laser mouse but I didn't really like any of the ones I tried. I guess I'm a bit set in my ways. Altough i'm looking into trying the new G605, it looks like a mouse that'd suite me well.

Re: Features - QOTW: Which mouse do you use for PC gaming?

    Razer Lachesis (original).

Still going strong despite my wife's best efforts to kill it during daily use (it's covered in thick dust on an almost daily basis, the rubber has worn through and the 'feet/skates' no longer exist). I've never felt the need to change to be honest, and haven't seen anything on the market for gaming that I feel is a) value for money or b) worth spending money on whilst my current mouse still works. I also feel that gaming gear has completely succumbed to marketing numbers warfare and the technology has peaked, with each trying to outdo the other with dpi etc, whilst not actually adding anything useful. As such the price for kit should be stabilising or even going down but yet we still see mice costing in the ballpark of £100. Crazy imho.

I'm still on my MX-518 as well, admitedly a warrenty replacement as the first had a frayed cable after 18 months but still all good.

Ideally aiming to replace it and the G15 v2 keyboard at some point this year but have not seen anything worthwhile yet

Still got my G5 as well. Keep expecting it to break, but no sign of it yet.

Can't say I want any additional features, so the longer it lasts the better really!

Re: Features - QOTW: Which mouse do you use for PC gaming?

Logitech Performance MX. Fabulous piece of kit, does everything I want and need but ergonomically still doesn't fulfill my need for mice for larger hands. I get cramp in my little finger from gripping mice and would love a little 'shelf' on the right hand side just like the MX has on the left for my thumb so I can just plonk my hand on without my pinky dragging along.

Nonetheless, I can live with it. I'm aware there are mice with that feature but I've spent enough on this one, maybe one day if and when it keels over I might readdress the issue.
