Basically this. They have had some pretty well reviewed laptops as of late, but every single time I had my hands on a Razer product, it did nothing to fill me with confidence of its build quality. I've also never been particularly interested in their "XXXtr3m3 TurB0 Gam0rzz PWN4GE" styling.

For the record, I have NEVER owned a Cyborg mouse and have always bought Logitech (except for my workstation which uses a kensington trackball and my bluetooth laptop one which is a Gigabyte).
The one time a Logitech mouse did stop working, they replaced it no questions asked. I actually dismantled the old one and got it working as well, as they only asked me to send back the USB cord.

So no, the same kind of people who dislike Razer do not love Cyborg. I think you'll find there is a lot of people who dislike them for a multitude of reasons.

I'd quite like to see how good it is. A nice screen, dual speakers, powerful, a means to attach controller pad (or something).
As for the colours, my Razer Naga Molten mouse glows (pulses) Red. It's beautiful. Hopefully, they'd add options to changes colours, pulse or simply turn it off.

It will be some OEM android phone with a custom bling case (with some rob edge lighting? )and some bespoke applications.

It will appeal to those who like bling and branding.

What exactly feels tacky about them? This is something i very rarely see Razer dislikers actually putting proper meat to.

The reason i prefer Razer over others i actually because of the feel of the products (especially mice), because they use a healthy mix of matte and polished plastics in the right places it's pretty comfortable to me and i could use my mouse and keyboard for a 12 hour stint and my hands think nothing of it. The only time that it annoys me is when i don't clean my mouse for a month and i get the build up of gunk which is pretty easy to remove off the polished plastic. I've also found that both the mice and keyboards have less flex in their plastic housings than most other brands and is on par to my corporate preference, Logitech. Ive also never had a problem with the weight of the device.

But then again we are all different and your tackiness criteria is probably quite different to mine.

The ones that I have played with (mostly in stores like Scan or at mates houses) have felt lightweight, low quality plastics with poor attention to detail when it comes to the construction.
It's consistent as well, every time I'm immediately put off with their peripherals.

However at least 2 of my friends I know why they hate Razer is because they have FPSDoug level anger management issues and they smash their peripherals against the table so I'm not bleddy surprised it doesn't last. Then I get some of those same people going for the Cyborg and RAT products and glorifying them as the best thing to hit the peripheral market.

Those "same" people are persons I have encountered on forums like this, private forums for guilds and gaming and in public and it's like it is fashionable to hate on the popular brand. However my return argument is always: "Well if they weren't doing something right, why are they the biggest gaming brand on the planet in use in eSports and multiple other areas" (inb4 "Well they literally open the box for the event right there and then for use", congrats, they do, and?)

The only thing I hate about Razer Products is their affluence for neon green in their basic line of products. I love Ice Blue colour schemes but I'll be damned if I can find any products that have that without having to pay 20% extra for RGB just to put it to a single colour.
I used to be entirely indifferent to razer, then they put DRM in their mouse drivers. Do they still do that?

If they do don't like them, if they don't I'm back to being indifferent.

I dont think this is true of their laptops, so if they bolstered that team and shared some of the expertise, I think there is every chance it could be a proper product.

one thing that doesnt ring (haha, sorry) true with me and it being a phone is that url "watch listen play", sparks something more like a portable gaming screen in my head, maybe a zero/low latency remote display/controller bundle for your pc or something.. but ive got no idea tbh
