It does say that they don't think they have signed up though.

TBH it doesn't make sense for OEMs to sign up for something like that. Most of the customers of these companies dont look at the brand of GPU, they just buy whatever. This is especially true of enterprise where they will buy pallets of whatever is currently the right price for them. They dont care if its AMD/Intel/Nvidia GPU.
If Nvidia want to test companies like Dell, HP and Lenovo (who are all closely tied to Intel), they could be the makers of their own downfall. If OEMs start putting/pushing more AMD/Intel GPUs into their devices, or perhaps always have the "Nvidia options" not available due to Nvidias preferential treatment, there is only one loser in the long term (...and it isnt the OEMs).
More or less my line of thinking. Tightening the grip too much will see them dumped for freer markets/market options as soon as they're available.

AMD have been a long way off the boil recently on graphics, consider Intel scare tactics and attempts at market manipulation and the CPU market at the moment. Intel DO have a hugely bigger share but... it's only a matter of time now. AMD are on the march on the CPU front.

If/when they get back in the seat on GPU's I think this will work against Nvidia overall.

3DFX were once unassailable, no-one in the hobby less than 10 years will know much about them, almost certainly have never used one of their products.

It's rather a capitalist failing, companies MUST improve profits year on year (even if they posted massive profits for a year, the next year they MUST do better) eventually, it becomes rather anti-consumerist and the average man on the street these companies rely on for sales jumps ship to greener pastures.

Something that doesn't appear to be mentioned here, is if the new Arez products will continue to support Asus aura sync?
