Sony PlayStation 5 will deliver "fundamental changes" in gaming

Even if this console gen isn't it, you never know when the next big leap forward will come.

Sony are the biggest VR headset vendor out there with the PS4, but I'm sure the big must-have title has yet to be released that makes them really fly off the shelves.

There are no more giant leaps. We've reached a point where technology has become so advanced, and so refined, that the best we can do is just generational improvements. And I am 100% OK with that.

Why, the architecture within a xbox or ps4 goes back to 2008 based on a bulldozer like k10 architecture. The difference between that and what will be available in next gen (maybe ryzen 2000 on 7nm and navi) will be 100% faster (uneducated guess based on stats between the generations). The only thing is that consoles seem to have a more gpu heavy workload (which the consoles have a more recent version of gcn). But Why settle for so little when the companies can put the rnd into the products with what is available.

I'm still getting over the RSX 'Reality Synthesizer' for the PS3 .. it was going to change Everything and the Hype behind it was emenice. The main thing i liked about the PS3 was the Cell processor it was a beast and kudos for Sony working with Toshiba & IBM in creating that. Later IBM used it for A Supercomputer that was in the top 6 of Green powered Supercomputers it had exceptional performance for it time. I'm sure were going to hear alot more about the PS5 and looking forward to its release date. My wish list for the PS5 to have at least 1TB SSD Nvme, 12GB GDDR6 or HBM3 and be quiet, Not like the PS4 that at random times can be loud. Im not too fussed about the size, i'll be happy even if its slighter bigger than the PS4 but have top quality cooling in it.
