10GB Memory, seems an odd choice?
Jon
I always thought 11GB for the 2080ti was an odd choice Apparently the 10GB relates to the choice of a 320bit memory bus for the 3080. It's been suggested that some AIB partners might release an upgraded 20GB model...

£1300 is a massive price cut on the titan RTX - 2080ti money for titan rtx RAM and way more performance is a good start. I'd love to see a £500 titan, but a 50% price cut on the top card is a start.
There still could be a Titan RTX though. Another way of thinking about this is the 80TI is now not the consumer high end,the 90 is(again). The RTX3090 is more expensive than the RTX2080TI.
Also that previous performance chart was confirmed as a fake. However, some new information from WCCFTech:
https://twitter.com/hms1193/status/1300449249449172992
"Up To 1.9x perf per watt than last gen."
"Compared to last-gen with RTX/DLSS Enabled too."
"Effortlessly powers graphics experiences at all resolutions, even up to 8K at the top end."
However,Kopite who leaked many of the Ampere details accurately had something to say about Big Navi:
https://twitter.com/kopite7kimi/stat...642148354?s=20
"BIG NAVI will be very strong."
"Thanks, I'll try to describe it, GA104 cannot beat BIG NAVI."
"And GA102 will also pay a huge price. Wait for November."
The fight is on!!
Yep - waiting for November. Am saving hard !
Society's to blame,
Or possibly Atari.
KopiteKimi tweeting pricing on Ampere is good, whatever that means lol.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
Way out of my price range.

Smart thing to do is to wait until January/Feb before buying anything, as then we'll know if Big Navi can really compete (lets all hope so) and see the impact on Nvidia's pricing and/or lineup.
I'm still more than likely to just stump up for a 3090 though in a month or two (once we see AMDs numbers), assuming it can get me over 140FPS in warzone @ 3440x1440. For comparison, my current 2080 gets my around 100.
Lets see.

The GeForce RTX 3090, 3080 and 3070 represent the greatest GPU generational leap in the history of NVIDIA.
RTX3070 has less than 3000 cores:
https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1300814533490028546
9th September is apparently the launch date:
https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1300815363173687302
the official spec sheet says only 750W power supply needed for the 3090: https://www.nvidia.com/en-gb/geforce...ries/rtx-3090/ (click through to specs -> full specs)
There are some more details I added in this thread:

Interesting.. official cuda cores = 5888, exactly double what this twitter person states. Is this the nvidia 2x32FP shader units in operation? Nvidia sort of claim to have double the shader cores but they look like they plug into the same pipeline so perhaps not double the performance.
