AMDZone do some benchmarking and overclocking of the new Venice Core Athlon 64.[The article]We ended up at 2.695GHz which is the closest setting to a full 2.7GHz possible. At this point we were able to get stability with just over 1.5V to the CPU, 2.75V to memory, and 1.6 volts to the nForce 4 chipset. We also bumped the HyperTransport connection up to 5X which had it running at 1.225GHz. We were particularly impressed by the low temperature even when overclocked which sat at about 97 degrees Fahrenheit at this speed, and struggled to hit 100 degrees when under heavy load.
