i don't think it is, if they did you would have been looking at £400 for the console just like the ps3.

this way if you don't have a HDTV they aren't forcing you to buy it and have something that would be no use to you(not like they need HD DVD's for the games) if you do have a hdtv you have the choice of getting one or not.

much better way of doing it imo.

It's definitely not an HD-DVD in the 360. I dont think there were any around outside engineering labs when the 360 was released!

MS have made it clear that they have no plans to put a HD-DVD drive in the console itself, but time will tell !

They're just saying that because they're afraid people won't buy the current systems and will wait until the one with the internal drive comes out. Unlike Apple (who has a history of announcing something before it's available and killing their current retail sales until the new product comes out) MS is pretty smart to do this because that's exactly what would happen.

HAHAHA - But at lease that stacked on the side nicely, this doesn't even seem to lock into place! You should be able to send your xbox off to get it internally upgraded!

looks ok, prehaps someone will be able to get it to work in pc's aswell with hacked drivers or somthing that would be cool what with it being usb and all.
