The flaw - which affects all supported versions of Windows bar Windows 2003 - resides in a security bug in Microsoft XML Core Services, specifically an unspecified security bug in the XMLHTTP 4.0 ActiveX Control.Firefox still supports ActiveX, so if you were to enable it on an infected site, you just as likely to catch it.Oh well looks like I'm safe, thanks to good ole' Firefox.
firefox only supports activex if you install an experimental and highly disreccomended plugin to do it
