    ASUS A7N8X Deluxe 2.0

    ASUS A7N8X Deluxe 2.0

If you're in the market for something solid, feature packed and that overclocks nicely due to the use of the new chipset, do yourself a favour and put the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe 2.0 on your shopping list. Sure there may be cheaper Ultra 400 boards about to arrive, but you can't go wrong with this one if the price is to your liking

I have the rev 1.04 version (some reviews have said that the pre 2.0 versions clock better) and I am very happy with it indeed

Runnin at 200FSB solid as a rock, if any was to go wrong with it, I think I would go for a NF7-S 2 just because of the amount of hype on these forums there was been about the board. After all they can't all be wrong

I'd heard the same, about pre-2.0 boards doing a bit better, and I may just have got lucky, but my 2.0 Deluxe sample does 230MHz+ fsb.

Had mine up to 217FSB, but I don't know whether it's the memory. the CPU or the Motherboard that won't let me go any further.

How do I find out whats stopping me?

If you have three variables to test, and you want to test one, set the other two to value you know are doable, and push the third.

To test front side bus, set your memory to weak timings and your multiplier to something low, so that memory and CPU can both cope with the resulting speeds.

Do the same to the others, adjusting whatever is needed.
