also note that the centrino brand no longer requires windows xp - linux laptops with a 2.6.8 kernel or higher can get certified with centrino logo. the same for sonoma is due in about a month (http://news.zdnet.co.uk/software/lin...9184876,00.htm)
I have got Gentoo running on my Centrino (Dothan Pentium-M.) It's not setup fully yet, but speedstep is working and all the drivers are loaded.
