    My friends and I are counting down the days till the start of April!!!!

    I really like;

    Chicken thighs, skin on, done in my BBQ sauce that is a mixture of Tomato puree, dark mucavado sugar, home made herb/white wine vinegar, chilli powder, celery salt, stock and worcestershire sauce. Goes all burnt and sticky. Yumm!

    Steak and King Prawn skewers, that have been marinated in worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic (perhaps some other stuff, can't remember off the top of my head), rare steak obviously, then a hot garlicy, lemony, parlsey butter sauce poured over the top.

    Any sort of home made bruschetta, form Ciabatta with a home made salsa, Corriander, lemons, chilli, red onion, tomatoes etc.

    A parcel of roast veggies placed on the cooler coals, consisting of red onion, courgette, peppers, mushrooms, tomato, fresh herbs, seasoning and a little white wine and olive oil.

    God, I am salivating at the thought! I wish the snow up here would naff off sharpish!!

    Sounds quality, how long do they take? 20 mins or something???

    There are also some quite decent BBQ recipes from Allrecipes BBQ section. There are some mean skewer recipes on there. I also recommend Ainsley Harrison's 'BBQ Bible' and 'Big Cook Out'. Quality recipes to be had from both.

    TiG kills me but he knows what he likes and shan't be swayed.....respect for that

    And yes Moby....Haloumi is the squeaky cheese...it squeaks on your teeth when you eat it

    just the best stuff.....I'd go so far as to say I would ask TiG to try it, in a burger cos I think he might like it....its as far from what you expect as is possible

    Maybe I'll ask him this summer....and I;m looking forward to this summer....

    Hexus BBQ's......divine

    well - if any of you live near sw london - I can pass you on the phone number of my butcher, who still does the best snags in the business, nice fresh meats (his lamb supplier is my lamb supplier) last year I got a 4 kilo prime rib (bone in) to do on the bbq... I had to promise to take my butcher back a couple of slices, as he'd never heard of it before!

    i generally slow roast on the bbq for about an hour or so (shallots & small onions) - put them in a small tinfoil tray to minimise flare ups, and they'll cook in their own juices. awesome with steak - in fact anything bbq'd!
