LO people.
I've been a long standing fan of Cuvee De Richard red, from Majestic, cos it was £3 per bottle and consitantly good.
But it's gone up in price hugely (cheers Gordon, nice work on the exchange rate and our ever strengthening pound there bud) and my last purchase (prolly will BE my last purchase too) was at £3.79 per bottle.
SO it's off the evening wine glugging list at CHez Zak,
Bingo... Lidl save the day, AND improve on it.
Same area of France, Vin De Pay's de L'Aude, it's a 2007, and while the tannins have already dropped out of it, and left it with no where NEAR the crisp colour of the majestic offering, it tastes as good as gold, and is smooth and round, and....
/drum roll
£2.99 for a LITRE bottle! this week only.
Thats a bargain
And after than back to it's normal £3.39, which is still good value.
