THE best way to buy good meat is straight from the farm. Honestly! Do a google for farm shops near you. I try and buy all mine this way. For one it's nicer/keeps longer, and secondly it is helping farmers not fleecing them like the large supermarket chains do.

urgh I like my food cooked - I once had a steak in a pub that looked as if it was bleeding when I cut it... and that has now put me off rare steaks for life really.

I like mine cooked but not burnt if you get my drift

I like quite rare steak personally, just sear both sides, leave it in just a little longer to leave some juices behing, then out of the pan onto vvv low heat so i can use the juices left in the pan to mix up a lovely cream & red wine sauce....serve with some garlic mayonnaise (garlic, mayo, balsamic vineger and black pepper) and you've got yourself a lovely treat hmmm
If a man talks in a forest & there's no woman around....
    Is he STILL wrong?

The best way to get your steak is to marry a girl whos Dad has a high quality butchers and buys only from local farmers

The walk in spend £25 and get charged £0 to £10 depending on how far up the "Son in Laws I like List" is also a bonus
