    mmmmmmmmmmmm.......mouthwatering
Got to be rare for max taste & that melt-in-the-mouth texture.

Medium-rare PROVIDED that it's really nice steak. I discovered Sainbury's Taste the Difference steak the other week, and much as I wasn't convinced I would taste the difference, I bought a load anyway. Its so much nicer, and almost melts in the mouth! Mmmmmmm...

never posted in here before...... although i really should considering ive been chefing for over 2 years, and know a suprisiing amount. Also having a level 1 and 2 while still taking a-levels is nice.

some of the advice, times, and other stuff are slghty off in this thread, but im not here to complain

    its well done for me,

i work in a kithen which serves a carvery of over 1000 peopel each day and i see 99% of them every day im there, and well over 80% of the people who order steakes (1/10th of the people served) liek it medium/well or well done.

    just my valuable two cents

Wow, how can so many people be wrong every day

Where do you live? no offence.

Blood is good in a steak. And rib eye done properly (waved at a flame) is lovely

    2. i live in Northern ireland

Didn't mean to sound rude mate.

Just seems most people i know like rare steak and same on these forums.

I have family in northern Ireland and wasn't meaning anything harsh, my sarcasm backfired.

On a related subject, we did roast beef the other day, and had it with just a bit of blood running out of the middle. Best roast beef I've ever had, I never realised it could taste so good. I had the remains in my sandwiches the next day with wholegrain mustard, which was just as tasty.
