Well my other half appears to have come down with the dreaded lurgy ( hopefully not bird flu)
I had a charitable moment and decided to make the classic dish of Jewish granmothers worldwide... Chicken soup

I now have a bucket of the finest aforementioned soup - dunno about my other hlaf , but I'm feeling better already !
(even if it did take almost 5 hours to make , the result was worth it ! )

) and return all the meat to the stock. Add finely chopped carrots, onions, potatoes and soaked 'broth mix' (which is pearl barley and lentils basically) and return to the hob for an hour. Season and serve for a delicious chunky soup
